By using this website, you signal your consent to these terms in addition to any other law or regulation that applies to the website, the Internet and/or the World Wide Web.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of the Agreement at any time. Any such modifications or changes will become immediately effective upon posting to any of the RGO forums. In addition, you are expected to periodically review this Agreement to ascertain that you are doing your part in keeping RGO a safe and cohesive community.
Users of our service take sole responsibility for their actions. Hence, RGO may not be held liable for any content or activities ran or administered by the users, as it does not affiliate with RGO directly.
If you do not agree to the terms of use and the service agreement stated herein, please do not use or view the RGO web site.
Renaissance Games reserves the rights to make any modifications to any of its software, hardware, databases, or any other resources as it sees fit. This includes, but is not limited to:
- The right to remove and ban users
- The right to add and remove games and rooms
Any violation by a user of the Terms of Use and Service Agreement will be grounds for immediate consideration of removal from the system.
1. Renaissance Games identified that any of the following is a violation of the terms and conditions of use:
- Profanity, any forms of player harassment including, but not limited to: racial, sexual or gender slurs, belittling, taunting, etc.
- Continuous posting of any visible, non-visible, or repetitive text such as: flooding, scrolling, inciting or other disruptive behaviors.
- Harassment, threats, and defamation on members, volunteers, or employees of RGO.>
- Exploiting the spirit of friendly play including; Cheating, hacking or other destructive behavior.
- Stalling and stalking games/players and disruptive playing habits (attacks or harassment in games, etc) are deemed as violation of the terms and conditions of use.
- Repeated violators may lose their chat privileges or access to the site for an unspecified amount of time, at the discretion of the site administration.
2. RGO prohibits the use of this website for personal and commercial advertisements or posting of websites and URL's to other unauthorized web locations. Misuse of RGO's software or use of unofficial or non-sanctioned software programs, which could harm any users of their PC systems or servers, or obtain unauthorized access to the site servers are also prohibited. Any member who is in violation of these rules will have his or her site access restricted for a period of time, or removed all together, as deemed appropriate by the site administration. RGO reserves the right to prosecute the violators to the fullest extent of both United States and international laws.
3. Using RGO to advertise websites involving adult content, unauthorized programs, or other communications that compromise the integrity of RGO or its users will not be tolerated. Those who are found to be engaging in such behavior or activities will be severely penalized by the administration and possibly reported to the Computer Crime and Intellectual property Section (CCIPS) of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice.
4. Engaging in illegal activities in any area of RGO will result in the termination of your RGO membership for an unspecified length of time to be determined by the site management.
5. Users of RGO have the right to personal privacy. We request that all members and staff treat each other with the utmost respect and to not engage in activities that may compromise personal privacy.
6. RGO encourages its members to keep their personal identification confidential at all times. Information such as credit card numbers, passwords, telephone numbers, home or business addresses, real names or social security numbers MUST NEVER be posted in RGO game lobbies, forums, game rooms, or private messages, as it may be used for illegal or harmful purposes. RGO will never publicly ask you for personal information in a game area or forum.
A. Any information that you give in the aforementioned areas is at your own discretion. RGO is not responsible for any private information that is posted in those areas, nor can it be held liable if someone uses any of the information posted for illegal purposes against you.
7. RGO grants the users the right to have their own unique screen name, which is used to identify each member. RGO reserves the right to permanently remove any screen identity at any time which is deemed by Administration to be inappropriate.
A. Inappropriate nicknames include (but are not limited to)anything that appears to:
I. Abbreviate, encourage or insinuate profanity, racism, anti-Semitism, prejudice, slander or drug use.
II. Innumerate, imply or associate with sexual conduct, sexual innuendo, harassment, slurs, illegal activity, notorious people, controversial religious or political figures or disparaging terms, and
III. Intentionally or intentionally or frivolously incite, torment, harass, or ridicule other members of RGO. Additionally, any aliases created to advertise other nonprofit, for-profit, or government organizations, gaming companies or websites, or promote either personal or commercial goods or services will be deleted, and its proprietors may be permanently banned from accessing this network.
IV. Cloning (copying, in whole or in part) of another members nickname, or designing a new alias, which is similar to an existing alias, to create confusion or disruptions is not permitted. The decisions on such matters are at the sole discretion of RGO Administration.
8. Flooding any area of RGO is a violation of this Agreement. RGO reserves the right to remove any user, without notice, for an unspecified amount of time, in cases of excessive all-caps messages, spamming, flooding, or any other form of abuse or disruptive behavior in games, forums, lobbies, or in any other area of RGO.
1. Administration, Chancellors, Tournament Hosts, Sentinels and Service Representatives are volunteers who donate their time to the successful running of RGO.
2. They must be 16 years of age or older. RGO Terms of Use and Service apply equally to all RGO members, including but not limited to all service representatives, hosts, and technical support specialists.
3. Misrepresentation or impersonation of RGO employees, volunteers from the aforementioned categories, or special events coordinators is prohibited. Doing so will result in an immediate termination of your membership and possible restrictions from future use of our services.
4. RGO offices and Administration Headquarters are located in the United States. Hence, the primary language on this site is English. If you choose to communicate in a language other than English, please remember that this Agreement applies to your foreign language. Any misinterpretations of the words in your foreign language may result in a temporary suspension of your chat privileges. We will only re-enable your chat privileges if we find that we have indeed misinterpreted an innocent phrase for a possible obscenity.
5. You may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, create derivative works from, or in any way exploit this information, except that you may download one copy for your personal, non-commercial home use only, provided you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices.
6. Modification of the materials for any purpose constitutes an infringement of RGO's copy and proprietary rights and is therefore prohibited. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names on this web site are proprietary to RGO.
7. You expressly agree that RGO does not make any warranty as to the accuracy, reliability, or content of any information provided herein. This disclaimer of liability applies to any damages or injury caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of record, whether for breach of contract, tortuous behavior, negligence, or under any other cause of action.
8. You specifically acknowledge that RGO is not liable for the defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users or third parties and that the risk of injury from the foregoing rests entirely with the user.
9 In addition to the terms set forth above, neither RGO, its affiliates, information providers, or content partners shall be liable regardless of the cause or duration, for any errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or other defects in, or unseemliness or unauthenticated of, the information contained herein from any delay or interruption in the transmission thereof to the user, or for any claims or losses arising there from or occasioned thereby.
10. None of the foregoing parties shall be liable for any third-party claims or losses of any nature, including, but not limited to, lost profits, punitive or consequential damages. RGO, its affiliates, information providers, or content providers do not warrant or guarantee the timeliness, sequence, accuracy, or completeness of this information. Additionally, there are no warranties as to the results obtained from the use of the information.
11. This site is controlled and operated by RGO from its offices within the State of North Carolina, United States of America. This Agreement shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina applying to contracts fully executed and performed within the State of North Carolina; county of Gaston.
12. All parties submit to personal jurisdiction in North Carolina and further agree that any dispute arising from or relating to this Agreement including but not limited to the access or use of RGO site shall be brought in a court within Gaston County. No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default.
13. RGO makes no claims that the site is appropriate for access or use outside the United States. Your access and/or use of RGO site outside the U.S. are at your own risk, and you are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
14. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RGO and all of their respective officers, directors, owners, agents, employees, information providers, affiliates, licensors and licensees (collectively, "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all liability and costs including, without limitation, attorneys' fees and costs, incurred by the Indemnified Parties in connection with any claim arising out of (i) any breach by you of this Agreement or the foregoing representations, warranties and covenants or (ii) your use of RGO web site, including, without limitation, all RGO features.
15. If any provision of this Agreement shall be held invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the validity and enforceability of all other provisions of the Agreement shall not be affected thereby.
16. The section headings used herein are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of this Agreement. If any provision of these terms shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
